Czech Playboy is not closing down. Prima has found a new publisher for the magazine.

The new owner of the magazine is CCS Premium Trust. The editorial team remains unchanged.

The Czech edition of Playboy magazine will continue to be published after all, as the American company Playboy Enterprises International has approved the extension of the license for the Czech Republic for several more years, contrary to its original decision. The Prima media group, headed by the television station of the same name, subsequently agreed to transfer the rights to HFC Play from the CCS Premium Trust group. It deals with asset management and is affiliated with a law firm. Portos and stands behind it Jaromír Císař, Jakub Hollman a Petr Michal.

The magazine's editorial team remains unchanged. Originally, the last issue of Czech Playboy was supposed to be published in June due to the expiration of the license.

"After announcing the end of the magazine and online magazine, there was an unexpected twist – Playboy Enterprises International itself contacted us with an offer to extend the company's license. Since several other entities have recently expressed interest in the license, we ultimately decided to join forces with the media company HFC Play, part of the CCS Premium Trust group," said Prima's marketing director and former Playpress executive. From July 1, HFC Play will operate both the print magazine and the digital platforms of the Playpress publishing house. "When we learned that the license was being extended and the entire Playpress publishing house was for sale, we didn't hesitate for a moment. Playboy is an iconic brand, and we are proud that it is now becoming part of our group," says Denisa Gudeljová, Managing Director of HFC Play.
