CÍSAŘ, ČEŠKA, SMUTNÝ, a leading Czech law firm, has expanded its leadership team. Milan Kučera, who previously held the position of senior attorney, has become the firm's new partner. Milan Kučera currently focuses primarily on the implementation and financing of strategic investment construction projects (including financing, public procurement, and FIDIC contractual terms). His agenda will also include topics related to the development of European legislation in the field of environmental law and sustainability, such as the application of the DNSH principle (Do No Significant Harm) and the EE1 principle (Energy Efficiency First Principle) within the Czech legal framework.

"After nearly two years, we are continuing the trend of expanding our leadership by promoting our younger colleagues. However, they have been with the firm long-term and are well-versed in all the key principles and values. Milan Kučera is one of them. He has led a legal team with a broad agenda and has consistently achieved excellent results for our clients," says Jaromír Císař, partner at CÍSAŘ, ČEŠKA, SMUTNÝ.

Milan Kučera joined CÍSAŘ, ČEŠKA, SMUTNÝ during his studies at the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague. He became an attorney in 2018 and was appointed head of the legal team in 2020. At the beginning of his career, he focused primarily on the effective enforcement and recovery of damage claims, as well as representing legal entities as injured parties in criminal proceedings. Since the start of his career, he has worked for a major petrochemical company, for which he has helped win several key court cases with a broad societal impact.
