The PORTOS law firm has announced some news about its management before the end of the year. From January 2026, the firm's senior management will be strengthened by two new partners – Markéta Flanderková and Roman Kyral. Together with Jaromír Císař, Petr Michal, and Jakub Hollmann, the firm will now have five equity partners.
Founding partner Jaromír Císař says of this step: "The firm has undergone amazing development during its existence. We started out as a small office with four people. Today, there are almost 180 of us. Over the course of 33 years, we have grown to a size that ranks us among the largest firms on the market. An important principle that has remained throughout this time is that we give space in the office to those who come with vision, diligence, and good ideas, and Markéta and Roman are the essence of these virtues. That is why we, the partners, have decided to expand our ranks."
Markéta Flanderková joined the PORTOS law firm in 2015 and has led one of the legal teams as a senior attorney since 2018. In 2021, she became a partner in the firm. She is the author of a number of professional publications and commentaries. For her outstanding performance, she was included in the prestigious TOP 100 Women in Czech Legal Business ranking in the areas of M&A, corporate law, and private equity in 2023 and 2024. Together with Jakub Hollman, she represents the Czech Republic at the Cambridge Forum, which brings together asset management experts from around the world.
Roman Kyral joined the PORTOS law firm in 2007 while studying at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. He gradually worked his way up through all positions from legal assistant to senior attorney. He became a partner in the firm in 2019 and has been the director of the sister company Administrace insolvencí Císař, Češka, Smutný a spol. since 2021. Among other things, he specializes in legal advice in the areas of public procurement, tax law, and real estate, and also focuses on corporate law and insolvency law.
