This Sunday, the Portos Open Air Festival once again kicked off the start of a new semester at the Olomouc Faculty of Law. This time, it brought some truly big names from the Czech music scene to the city. The main star of the third year was singer Annet X, known for her unique style combining hip hop and rap. Law students were also treated to performances by the band BRIXTN and DJ Andrea Fiorino. The event is organized by the Portos law firm in cooperation with the UP Faculty of Law.
The festival strives to open up new opportunities for connecting culture with the legal world, especially for young and talented lawyers. Thanks in part to the participation of well-known headliners, it has grown again year-on-year. This time, the event was attended by 400 listeners from among students and teachers, but also the general public. Admission to the festival was free again this year. The event took place in the outdoor area of the faculty.
In addition, students could participate in competitions for special prizes, which were presented jointly by representatives of the Portos law firm and the UP Faculty of Law.
PORTOS Open Air vol.III follows on seamlessly from previous years. The festival was first held in 2023. The program, which included the Moravian Theater Olomouc, featured the band Noisy Pots and the Operave project, which combines opera singing with modern musical elements.
Last year, the event featured performances by singer Marina Laduda with rapper Sia Sai, DJ Cut Dem with guitarist Lukáš Chejn, and the band Bio Trio. The musical performances were followed after dark by a light show presented by the Firelovers art group.
